I live in southern california currently. I want to fish at big bear this summer but i don't have a boat and actually prefer bank fishing. Does anybody have info on what to use, when or where to go, or any other info that is usfull to fish there?

I grew up down there, and have some great memories of Big Bear lake along with another near there, Fawnskin Lake...nice trout lakes both of them. Most lakes have the same traits as far as fishing goes, with out a boat try to find a point or drop off as you look down on the lake. Try to keep the sun to your back and have a great time. Tight lines, I look forward to meeting up with you when you get up here.

Not really sure what to use there, power bait, worms. I will be there this year for the May trout classic. Hopefully I will catch the big one. I'm going to try from the shore and from a boat.
