I am trying to find a good spot (within 25 miles of gresham) to do a little fly fishing. I am a novice at this so I am looking for a easy bank spot and maybe a fish or two.
Thanks alot and keep 'em tight |

There are quite a few spots along the Sandy River, like oxbow park. Just driving along the Sandy, you'll see fishable spots as a good portion of the Sandy has a decent bank for fly-fishing.

Another place is Herman Creek or Eagle Creek, east of Gresham on 84 (just after the cascade locks. However, that is outside of your 25 miles radius, but if you ever find yourself out that way for some reason. Just make sure to check the seasons.

Might be kinda fun to go to your local stocked pond, Mt Hood community college has a pond they stock occasionally, probably a few others in your neck of the woods, check the stocking schedule 971-673-6000. Go early or late in the day to avoid the crowds. Great practice and a good chance to catch something.
