Don't worry Toby you are a fisherman if you go out and give it your best! I just got out of a terrible slump, they happen to everybody.

As far as im concerned if they catch fish they will love it. My dad took me salmon fishing when i was a kid but he would scout the area to make sure fish are there so i never had a slow day. That's what im going to do with my son. Good job!

I gotta tell ya, I have some experience in fishing with kids and it seems they can be easily hooked by a fun day and easily discouraged by a tough one. I am the chairman of a local take a kid fishing day up here and have seen it go both ways. Great idea on starting 'em out on the sure thing. Kids patience is a slow progression to being able to handle a hard slow day. Way to go

That's not cheating, I thought of doing it but I started hitting the places that we stocked the week before I went fishing. So far it's been working and my kids love it.
