When is Mokai going to write a post about the boat shown in the photo?

That is very handy looking- espescially for someone on a budget. It must be nice for some of the less accessible waters as well. Now I just need to save up for a Hummingbird, some waders, one of these and I will be all set.

Hi, I'm from CT.
I'm new, and this is my first post. The fellow that invented the WaveWalkers (Yoav Rosen) e-mailed me about spotting the boat in your forum. I own a W/Walker too. How do you like yours? I won't use mine without outriggers when I fish. Have you ever flipped it? Now Mokia, how do you like that 6hp fishing machine? I would love to buy one of those myself. Please tell all. Thanks in advance. Tight Lines |

I like my wavewalk allot..I have never flipped it..I find it very stable to fish from..I had a close call on my first river trip..I was not used to the boat yet and I caught a cross current ..I thought I was going to flip for sure..But when the boat reached a point it righted its self..I learned allot about it on that trip..
The Mokai is great also..I now use it for rivers primarily..Unless there are no motors allowed..It is very stable and a joy to drive..I use the heck out of it and it performs very well..It sips the fuel which is a good thing in todays gas world.. ![]() Andrew

I am so envious of your boat......like a hover craft on the water, the fish don't stand a chance any more. Pictures, we want pictures.

Thank you so much for the info.
I've never flipped my WW either. I Came close once, the first Time I used it like you, caught in a cross current, but I was able to get my balance back. How did you attach your seat? I've been thinking of doing that too, I've been using a folding stadium seat. I do love it, and I like being able to stand and change positions. I had put a trolling motor on it, but that is back in the design mode. I want it to have foot controls so I have hands free fishing. I'm saving my pennies for a Mokai, that is my dream yak. How is it getting in and out of it? And how does it handle in the river? I'd be using it in the CT River for the Striper runs, in spring, and for some very good Pike, LMB, & SMB fishing. Thanks again and Tight Lines!! ![]() |
