Well, I headed up to Big Cliff this morning for the team photographs. It was a beautiful morning...once you cleared the 1000' elevation mark the fog dissapeared, and there was nothing but sunshine and 38 degrees. Unfortunately, when I got to the lake the wind was coming down the gorge at about 40 mph, and Big Cliff was nothing but 2'-3' whitecaps. I still gave it a shot, but surrendered shortly thereafter, not only because of the wind chill factor, but because there was no way to place one's bait in that wind. Hopefully next week will be better.
I headed down to Walling Pond for some "easy fishing" but when I got there the parking lot was packed. Don't these people have jobs? I decided it was a sign for me to come home and do some cleaning in the shop. EJ |

Happy to hear you made it out, sorry for the parking lot being full. It's all those retired bastards, I my self wasn't one of them - but thats only because I am cleaning and rearranging my tackle box for a photo shoot. Tough fishing in the wind, can be done but very hard especially in the winter time. kudos to you for making the effort. What happened to the Photo's ???

Welcome to the forum, jkeek9. I know that you will find a lot of great information sharing going on here. Which end of Big Cliff have you had the most luck with?

Hey stick to the topic of the thread please! There is place for trying to sell your stuff on this site. But it should probally relate to fishing in some way.
