Default Miller Lake

I'm thinking of heading up to Miller Lake, near Chemult off of hwy 97, the first week of August to fish for the Browns and little kokes they supposedly have in pretty good numbers up there. Has anyone fished that lake and can offer some first hand tips? I'm new around here, but I love this forum! I appreciate the advice!

Very nice camp ground and the only place that I know of that your out in the wilderness and you have flush toilets...along with 24 hour fishing.. The Brown Trout angling is superb, try trolling the North end of the lake across from the boat ramp. They love Rapalas trolled fast and across the points, keep your small children tethered to something solid...the mosquitoes are so large they will carry them away when your not looking. NOT joking...biggest skeeters I have ever seen. Be prepared for a long dirt road once you have left hwy 97...feels like 20 miles but I sure its not....good luck and take lots of pictures...

I better stay off the lake if theres big mosquitos like that. Tie em to the boat and say: lie down! Good doggy!
But mosquitos are really a pain in the *#$!!! They bite, then it itches for weeks. I got 9 bites down the leg in china once, got so infected I was zipped to the hospital and they had to like, cut it open and stuff. Bad stuff can happen with mosqitoes.

Wink Deet

FishSchooler, try some bug repellant with Deet. You have to get the stuff with Deet in it for it to be really effective. There must be a hundred brands to choose from nowadays. I am sure there are dozens of secret family remedies too. Like eating citrus fruits...Good luck, we don't want any tiny pain in the arse bug sending anyone to the hospital. Even if it does leave more fish for me.

Big Grin Hawk & Grasshopper...

Thanks,Brother Hawk. I just hope someone tells me what the heck to do. I'm not sure what the "Super" part is either. Should be fun/interesting.

FishSchooler...what can I say? You are a weird lil grasshopper sometimes. That's okay though. That is precisely why we like to hang with you.
