I was just told to try this lake from a buddy. I was wondering what would be the best thing to use and also the best place to fish. My buddy said the creek side had some lunkers last year. Is there allot of people who fish there? Should I be there early? What kind of trouts are in there? I have never been there, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Use the Search icon at the very top of the page. Type the word "harriet" in the search bar and you will find all the info ever posted on here about that lake.

I love this lake!! We fished down by the dam end...using worms and bobbers with long leaders...Caught lots of nice rainbows and a really fat brook trout. Had a hard time hooking them however..they are biting tword the top of the worm...all fish caught were hooked in the lip!!
Nice stringer for dinner.....good luck to you!! |

What a cool lake this was. We went last Tuesday. We ended up going down by the dam.
We repelled down a hill , thank god there was a rope . It was a little windy and cold in the early, so they didn't bite. But around noon, when the clouds burned off and the wind stopped, the fish started biting. We caught a few nice rainbows. Wow, that lake is clear. It looked deep over by the dam. I have one of those fish hunter rafts that would be nice to row over by those pontoons. I'll bet there is some fatty browns down there. Anyone know what would be good bait for those browns??? What a nice private lake. I'll definitely be going back there.. |
