Caught only 5 fish in the first two hours- and they were small- 9" at the most.
Finally found a small brass and orange Needlefish that they liked and found my old favorite shoreline was the place to catch'em- they were in close in the rocks. The wind was blowing pretty hard right into that shoreline and it was hard to troll and catch fish and drive and catch a fish and spin around and start over and get blown around again! (that empty open seat was not helping me at all!) I stuck it out 'till 6pm and totaled 28 by then. That was a pathetic bunch of fish they put in there this time! I think I caught ONE that was 10"- wow - look at that - a BIG one!![]() All snow gone on roads (hwy26 route)- drove down into Clear Lake also- no problem. |
