awesome. habitat restoration requires long sustained effort and lots of resources (money and people) but it has a 100% approval rating from fish!

For the non-Portland people -- Crystal Springs is a tiny little creek that runs right through town (and Eastmoreland Golf Course), making it all the more exciting. Saw a video earlier this year of a springer in there, but it was likely a stray.

Johnson Creek is doing well recovering from all the damage Precision Castparts has done. Now they just need to get all of the homeless (hundreds) that live along it to stop using it as a dump and toilet. Maybe as a gesture, Precision Castparts could put up some money to do something about it.
