Caught 4 and hooked 2 others in 15 min using a brown caddis emerger in the ripples. This one didn't enjoy being embarrassed by me.

I use a 7' 3wt for my dry fly fishing and the action is perfect for the trout that range from 8 in to 16 in. I use my 9'6" 5wt when I nymph fish just so I can get it out there a little further without having to risk some of the currents. The water table is getting lower so it's easier to traverse but I haven't seen an abundance of top water action yet, they're still hitting good on emergers and larva nymphs though. Been pretty successful swinging muddler minnows and flashy streamers but it's mainly the little guys that hits on them.

That fish looks very cutt-ish. Having really ever fished up there this late in the year. Good to know there is some fish to be had.

plenty of cut-throat to be caught around here but my pic didn't pick up the color very well with the sun shining
