Hit the Necanicum today.

No steelhead, but caught a couple fire trucks:



And my most respectable salmon to date:



Not quite what I was after, but somewhat satisfying to catch one in decent shape. Now, where are those pesky steelies?

Agreed. It was much more enjoyable to fight some bigger fish for a change.

It also made me feel a bit 'skilled' when after watching a guy upstream work a seam formed where a split in the river converged down some rapids and dump into a pool with a drifting set up. After he walked away, I stepped up to the same spot and 3rd cast in to the head of the pool with a spinner, got one of those red pair I banked
