Hey guys ~

New here but there seems to be tons of good info. My dad and I are in the portland area and are fine with driving upto 1.5 hr any way to catch some fish. We have a couple rafts, so we can get out on waters.

Looking for trout only really. I was looking at North Fork Resevoir and estacada lake. anybody been there recently with luck? I'm open to ANY other ideas!! Dad doesn't get out much, so I want to show him a good time. Would mean a lot.

Thanks guys!

Welcome to the forum man. I can't answer your question for you, but i know there is people here willing to help you out and get you some info.

Here you go. I am just bored and looked up and typed up "North Fork Reservoir" on google. Came across this, If you are up for a little read this has some good information that you will need out a lot in these summer months. Every paragragh is full of information that you can thrive on,

If you need questions on riggings and what other bait to use, please ask away.

welcome to to OFF!!! Glad you could join. :)

Depending on where in Portland you are, you might think about hitting Lost Lake in the coastal mountain range. It is off of Highway 26 out near Elsie. You will want to check the stocking schedule though and see if they have stocked it recently. Great little place up there. Quite, serene, tranquil. Beautiful!

Have at it and enjoy where ever you go! Good luck!

Faraday, Northfork, Harriet, Oak Grove Fork of the Clackamas, Timothy, Trillium, Collawash, Clear, Silverton, Hagg.........

I went out a few weeks ago to Estacada Lake to Kayak with the Girl, dragged a rooster tail behind me and caught a few small hatchery fish.

North fork would be the best option this week! They are stocking/stocked it with 7,700 trout this week! "PLEASE CALL (971) 673-6000 OPTION 2 AFTER 2:00 PM DAILY TO CHECK STOCKING STATUS."

Thanks guys! Rippinfishlips -- do you have the link to what you found?

and hagg has too many commercial activities going on from what iv heard, and im also hearing that harriet is probably "fished out". I get overwhelmed because there are so many lakes to go to and i can't decide!

Lost lake, north fork reservoir, estacada lake, or timothy lake are my choices so far. any suggestions on which might be best at this time of year?

Thanks again everyone!

Timothy is out of the question because it looks like its dead with all this blue algae stuff. Lost lake looks beautiful, do you guys think lost will still provide good fishing this time of year? -- techniques for success?
