Moldy roe....

So a buddy of mine gave me some roe a week and a half ago cause I wanted to try my hand at curing, and then life happened. I checked the roe this morning. There's a bit of fuzz on the top of my little tub. He said it's fine, cure it anyways-the stinkier the better. What do you think? Is it a waste of egg curing stuff? Did I screw up? Give it to me straight, guys........ :think:
