Kalama 10/2

Finally got my first steelhead this morning! Probably skunked ten trips in a row until today. Had to go up to Washington to do it(brother lives in Longview), but super happy to get a hold of this one. My brother got his 10 minutes before me(9:30)...I made him kiss it...lol. Tons of people on the river, and we had to drive to find empty water.

very nice i was up on the kalama yesterday as well.. man i saw a pod of around 100 salmon stacked below a rapid.. but no biters.. nice job on the steel man looks fresh too

Man that really makes me miss that creek(OK river). I know the canyon very well and have literally caught hundreds of steelies from the bathtub to saddle rock....(biggest summer ever for me was just above saddle rock... a little over 19lbs of p.o.ed silver flash...awesome memory) Actually the fish in my avitar is from the kalama, just above the bathtub 200yrds or so...
