Went out for a couple hours seeking my first bass of significant size. Tossed out some bunny leeches I tied myself, and found this under a log.

Nice gill! I love flyfishing for brim as we used to call them in NC. I have not tried it out here in OR since there does not seem be a lot of water around here very amenable to trying. Good luck on the bass.

Thank you fella's. I hope to get back out to fish soon, but will be a little busy around the house, getting ready for our newest edition to our family. He is due at the end of August, and I am already dreaming of taking him out fishing. Call me crazy, but he will be my second, the first is only 14 months. She already has a princess rod ready for the water! So I see a little more fly tying, then fishing, in my future. All good though!
