If you could ..... what woudl it be?

Ok, so if you could make (not literally build/make from scrap) your own rod, as in select which parts you want it built from, what would it be comprised of? Price is not an issue in this scenario. What rod, reel, and line would you want for steelhead, trout, salmon, saltwater, bass, carp, etc? Any other things you would want to add to it?

I think that I would want something in either a 3wt or 4wt rod. I am torn between a long 10' rod for nymphing or a short rod (7' or 8') for small stream fishing. Rod brand ..... :think: ..... i don't know yet. Reel ... :think: .... I don't know yet. Line ..... :think: ..... don't know yet. There are just too many options :shock:.. hahahahahahaha :lol:

What about you guys?

P.S. This thread isn't me looking for advice on which parts/components I should get for me next rig. It is just a fun thread where one can shar what they would like if they could get it.

my next rig for steelhead is going to be a killer (when i get the money!) echo ion 10ft 8wt rod,rio indicator line and a ross cla reel. perfect setup for nymphing steelhead and coho salmon.

If I ever build another rod it would be, and my first attempt, a fly rod. Assuming I've got all the skills in the world, I would build a cane rod. Not because I prefer cane over graphite but just to say I've done it. As for building a graphite rod, I would build an 8.5ft. 3wt, similar to egg's Korean rod. I would use either a New Zealand Killwel or Sage blank and put a Ross C2 on it. Why Ross? Just because.
