Carp fishing at Oaks Park 2013 May.

Had lot's of luck at oaks park carp fishing, used cheese with shrimp oil worked wonderful and other guys fishing with me didn't catch anything they use corn. I caught 33 carp and 5 big crappie on a minnow and lot's of peamouth chubs. Thinking about heading there this saturday or monday.

Great job Youngfisherman, that sounds like a rocking day.

When I was growing up in PA we would often use Velveeta cheese to catch trout - especially with some garlic salt worked in. (This was in the days before powerbait.) I never caught a carp on that combo, although we would catch catfish along with the trout. Really cool to hear about your success with the cheese and the shrimp oil. Did the folks using corn try adding shrimp oil to their corn? I am wondering if it was the cheese, the shrimp oil or if it was the combo.

I fished the river right on my boat dock. Ps Only members could go behind the gates.
