Are there any salmon alive in the Columbia?

Hey guys,

With so much dismal news on the salmon front of late, I am wondering if its even worth my time to put in at the fishery and see if I can make something happen. I haven't been on the river in 2 weeks so Im not sure what the water temps are currently. Any thoughts or suggestions? Last place I fished was up the hill from Lady Island and had one on I lost.

Fishing off the Fishery a week ago, four of us had a total of seven solid hits and three salmon. This all came in about a 1 1/2 - 2 hour period after six hours of absolutely nothing. One person we spoke to said that he caught and released five wild salmon. There were a number of boats, but it appeared that they were not having much luck. The guide called several other guided abd none of them were doing any good

Lol they are not all dead, an extremely small percentage of the salmon have actually died but the warm water temps cause the fish not to bite..but as Harry said there are definitely some biters.

All the hits came on gold spinners
