15lbs of pure fin clipped beauty!!

I hate to sound like a broken record but this winter has been off the hook. So far between my brother and I we have already landed over 70 Steelhead since late December. Take a look at the first 2 pics...my biggest fin clipped steelie yet (15.0 lbs). If you want to catch a fish this would be the year to do it. Put your time in on the river, fish with confidence, and you will be rewarded. Having confidence is a huge part in my opinion...if you're expecting a bite every cast I guarantee you will hook more fish.

Yeah, I feel sorry for who ever lost it. It looked like the bottom came off of it. All I know is that would suck BIG TIME!!

Your 15# was the second fish I've seen come out of that hole from monday after I missed a solid BD in it earlier in the morning. Haha nice work!

I really don't like that hole at all...but now I don't mind it HAHAHA!! I actually hooked it up at the head of the rapids and fought it down to there before anchoring. About 15 minutes before that I hooked up with about a 20lber and she broke me off after about 5 minutes of battle. I was so disappointed and then so pumped to get another chance at a hawg.

It's the Nestucca and to be honest with you anything works. It all depends on what you like to use and what you have confidence in. Most of these fish were taken side drifting eggs with a puff ball, or eggs with a yarn ball. A few of em couldn't resist the bobber and jig set up as well. It's all about putting your time on the river and fishing hard with confidence. If you don't expect to cathc fish most of the time you won't.

I COMPLETELY agree with your confidence statement. You HAVE to be confident on what you're using and where you're fishing. Also, Beautiful fish man!!! doing work!
