I caught two over sized in one day and released both after one heck of a fight, one a Ten footer took more than an hour to get to the boat. The only picture I got was of the bruises around my belly area, to much of a man to ask for one of those fighting belts. My point is these fish are of a very hearty species and unless you gut them and put them into the freezer they should be just fine. Most of the over sized ones are older than most of us on this forum.. most of us..

Go to Bradford Island at the Bonneville Dam. It is one of the best sturgeon fisheries for a shorebound angler.

And that makes sense too... the dam cuts their food for them.
