Default Sturgeon Fishing July 5, 07

Well my Dad and I went sturgeon fishing today at a slough off the Columbia by Kalama Washington. Man was it HOT!!! And WINDY!!! The wind made it really hard to keep you bait still so the fish would bite. After a short period I changed my sinker to a pyramid style 12 oz. sinker. It held the bait a little more steady and I began to get bites. Man those suckers are hard to hook. The day wasn't very productive as I only landed 2 shakers, my Dad couldn't catch a break. They were both around 38 inches but the 2nd one had some good shoulders. I'm sorry I don't have any pic's but my camera batteries died. At least I'm not posting on that other thread. One of these days I'm going to catch a keeper!!!

Thumbs up

Way to hang Ron, it will happen.......sometimes it just takes eating a sandwich and staring OFF into space for it to happen.

Scott, they were both around 38 inches. Not far from keepers but couldn't stretch them enough, HaHa.

If I was in my kayak with those fish I'd be the shaker!
