I have had the best luck fishing right near the parking lot, using a bubble and dry fly, but I see others having good luck with PowerBait all around the circumference of the pond.

Don't know much about Salem area angling...But Detroit is pretty fun, and really simple to fish. Drop worms, or PowerBait, and hang them a few feet from the bottom. Then wait for the line bumps. I like slow trolling spinners out of my pontoon. If they are deep enough, they take Kokanee, and Rainbows like its the the last time they are ever going to get a chance to eat or soething. Also the launch off of Blowout Road, in Idanha has some decent trout access as well. I am assuming you are bankin it mostly, so try the dam first.

Try trolling very slow and eradic, turns (sharp) and adjust your speed - slow(1 mph)then fast (2.5 mph) Best of luck...don't forget the rain gear...I sure hope I need mine... Tomorrow is the first day of Fall...
