Article on Lost Lake

Saw this article on another site. The picture of the lava tube in Lost lake is pretty wild.

Wow. I drove by there, 2.5 weeks ago. But I didn't know, about that lava tube.

P.S. How can people so stupid; as to try to plug that hole with car parts??? Sheesh.

That is wild. I wonder if they have plumbed it or lowered a camera into it. It would be cool if they dropped in a GPS enabled device that was fairly neutral bouyancy to see if it every popped out anywhere or drop some dye in the hole to see if you can find an outflow. Sounds like they are not sure if that water comes out somewhere or is just reabsorbed.

I'm up there quite a bit. In fact I was just there yesterday. I've never seen the lake so low this early. The hole is cool but not as dramatic as the picture makes it look.
