I would love to be there, as I would enjoy meeting all of you, but I will be fishing in Eastern Oregon the last weekend of September. Hopefully there will be other weekends/open seats that will come up this Fall.

Thumbs up

Sounds GREAT to me. Would love to meet you guys and learn more. Let me know the who, what, where and when . So far Sunday 9/30 is good for me.
If this ends up a boating event, can I bum a seat?

PS: Is it bad form to ask about the seat in this forum? I have always figured the only dumb question is the one you don't ask!

It's not bad to ask about open seats! after all if no one had a spare one, the worst that would happen is one of us would say our boat is full..
But I still have one seat or possibly even two. If oncorhynchus can make it, I offered him a seat - and I don't mind offering another.. Like I said earlier, My boat has 4 seats why not use 'em. "empty rod holders can't catch fish".

my fish catching machine is a 17' stryker W/ jet and I'm fully licensed.

(9/30 would be doable for us also. But we will make our best effort to be there regardless of set date.)

havent greenpeter and detroit been having pretty terrible catch rates lately? I don't think I've heard or read a positive report all year about those two.. between the group of us we outta manage hooking some fish anyway.

Oregon4x4 makes a good point about the fishing quality at Detroit lately. The lake isn't due for stocking until October 1. It looks from reading other boards that Greenpeter isn't doing that well either...

Question So far...

Well it looks like there is a lot of enthusiasm for the Meet and Greet, Sunday the 30th is being thrown around is this a decent date ? As far as the spot, I agree on Greenpeter that it is somewhat bland this year. Any other suggestions for a spot...? Detroit is also being spoken of in a negative light, the poll is still open for your vote. Lets try to make it geographically suitable for all, wouldn't want to make someone drive for four hours to get skunked....Anyone,anyone ?

I have been cathcing fish at hagg every time i go and thats from the bank Ive seen boats pulling lots of trout and bass out. Theres also perch bullhead channels large and small mouth bass and crappie and bluegills and pikeminnows. If we get there early trout fishing would be very productive plus for use portland metro guys it would be a easier drive.

What do you guys think yaa or nahhh on hagg.

Idea Sunday Sept 30

I hate to be the one that does this - but I can't make it on the 30th...prior engagement.....Not that it can't still be on the 30th, I just won't be able to make it. If the date is o.k. with every one else then we can go on with the scheduling..if not then we can start working on another date.

Sunday is about the only day of the week that I know for sure I don't have to work, but I already have plans for the 30th
