I might try this spring. More likely I will try the north and ne end of tillamook. Looks like some nice rock croppings just east of the north jetty that looks like good fly water. I'll post if I go.

Sounds good. I was thinking about using Clousers and Decievers.

    Default Salt on the fly

I'm sizing up the area all around Reedsport and Winchester Bay plus some stretches of beach there too. Not sure what will happen but i have a feeling it will be best on the jetties or the small bays just inside. Thinking up along the Smith too.

    Cheers,

    Default Surf Fly Fishing

I'm heading to Newport around the first week of April for a re-con on places to fly fish. Surf fishing for perch I plan to use a Ghost Crab fly along with several other red base fly's. For the larger fish I plan to use some Lefty's Deceivers and Dave Whitlock's purple eel worm that I have tied up. Then I'll come back in mid July for the Tuna, Halibut and hit the surf, rocks and jetty's for a longer trip. Staying at the South Beach State Park and plan to roam up and down the coast fishing until my arm is tired. Then lubricate my elbow a bit just watching it all.
If you want my fishing pole, you will have to pry it from my cold wet fingers
