we've all heard about buck fever. But who get's hen fever.
That impolse to check river levels or drive by your river when you get off work instead of coming home to the family. Who buy's new line in june to catch that trophy in Oct? If you've ever caught a salmon you probably have it. I'd like to hear some stories of hen fever that some of you have experianced or are currently going through. Sure Trout, or bass can get you a fix in a pinch but in the back of your mind you would rather be in your sweet spot watching the chinook roll or seeing the wake of a big one as it swims through slow water. At least i would.

Well since everybody is so shy i will tell one i have. My son was born in oct 2006 and i was stationed in okinawa. I flew home, tickets avg 1500$, in the month that i had to spend with my newborn i only went fishing once. That day that i went was in late november with the season almost done. I did catch one salmon but it was very old and beat up. The kicker to the story is that with limited amount of time on leave and the fast paced life with a newborn i still deperatly wanted to go salmon fishing. So I Did. The wife did not approve. oh well
