Question New to Umqua and Siuslaw area

I'm old but new to area. Have fished all my life but I'm new to the Florence/Reedsport area. Can anybody give me some when, where and how insight into spring salmon fishing in the Umpqua and if there is any kind of Spring fishing in the Siuslaw? Thanks, always greatful.

Never to old to learn.

Thumbs up Welcome

A big OFF welcome to you Dogfish, I am not a huge Salmon angler but there quite a few here. If your interested in the Blueback run I can be of more assistance to you there, keep us up on your action.

The Siuslaw dosn't have a spring fishery for steelhead or chinook that I know of. The Alsea has spring chinook starting in April and picking up in May and the Umpqua is still okay for steelhead.

Thanks Troutski for the welcome. I'm new to forums and chat lines so I'm a little slow at figuring it all out. I've been living near and doing a lot of fly fishing on the Henry's and South Forks of the Snake River and the Teton R. the last few years. If anybody needs info on that I might be able to help.

Thanks for the info Dichrofisher. Any info I get on fishing this area is appreciated. I have a boat and enjoy fishing for just about any kind of fish. Also enjoy bank fishing. Being new at this I hope I'm pushing all the right buttons on this computer
