This reservior is too big to ignore. I like to head up there once a year in the summer and kick back. We camp at Jasper Point and pull the boat up on the beach. For fishing we hook up with a few friends and round up a few crarppie for our annual crappie feed. We filet them run them trough the pride of the west batter then into the frying pan. Not big fish but mighty tastey. For bigger crappie I was told to make a trip over to Ochoco Reservior
For trout we hit the deep water and still fish. If it's hot enough we take a little time out for a swim. Keeping busy with the fishing we will head into one of the coves and see how the bass and catfish are doing. There are alot of way to fish the place and it depends on the time of year as to how you go after them. The place also has that big rugged look that is easy on the eye. On the downside the place can become busy with jet skiers and wake boaders. The place is big enough for everyone though. Irishrover Last edited by Irishrover : 06-15-2008 at 10:39 AM. |
