Pinehollow before the water skiing season starts is good for stocker trout. It can get windy just like about any other lake. We used to take the boat to one side of the lake cast out some power bait and drift across to the other side powered by the wind. When water skiing starts I avoid the place. It's a small irrigation reservior and those ski boats really chop the water up. Thats when I head out for Timmothy Lake or Simtustus.

I checked that place out not that long ago and for the most part I thought it sucked. Its hot there is not alot of trees, there is houses everywhere and the power boats turn the place into a blender. IT also has alot of Pricate property so finding a good bank fishing spot is really, really hard. That was my impression of it in the dead of summer. I would like to go there when it is cold and slim chances of water skiing and wakeboarding.

I have been there a few times in April after they hold the Trout derby. I caught a 24 inch 5 lbs Rainbow out of there two years ago. If you stay at the camp there is a ton of bank to fish. The rates at the site are pretty reasonable too. I stay in the little A-frame by the boat ramp. They are 50 a night. Not bad if you have two people splitting for two nights. There are also some decent Bass in there along with Catfish in the warmer more active times.
