Default The Money Minnows.

I was watching a fishing show this mornin, the bassin peeps were using money minnows, man they looked insane, they have this nice tight wobble in the tail, they come in diff sizes, they look just like the real thing, except it has no fins. It is made by YUM and I think it is new. Man, one guy was catching tons of bass with it, almost 1 every cast. He caught big 3-6 pounders with it. Anybody using it yet? I was thinking of buying some and putting some crayfish scent on it and texas rigging it and catching some bass from the willamette or Oswego Creek.

Their is no question that the new soft plastic baits are superior to the old style, just keep in mind that you may only use them in areas that allow bait; the ODFW views them as bait. That being said I have a very nice collection of the coolest looking and acting soft baits; and the claims of there success are very real. The neat thing is that they work on so many species, from the wonderful Sunfish to the King of the ocean game fish. I have personally caught some of my largest Trout on a very nice soft bait designed for Large Mouth Bass...even a Chinook took a swim bait I was trolling. Great stuff and worth every dollar !! Just my opinion.

I can't believe the ODFW has banned a plastic bait..... That makes me want to go off on a political rant but I'll keep it to myself....

ODFW hasn't banned them...they just recognize there potential and felt the need to regulate there use. They are a very effective bait...and at times can be a real anglers edge. Shouldn't we get some money for that advertisement.....?

Wait, you talking about the money minnow in your first post in this thread troutski? Dang, those must work well. I kind of would also consider it as a bait cause it's just like a minnow, just a bit wobblier. They look so soft and appetizing... not for me though. =D
