Yes, but go toward more in topwaters because the water is still very hot (around 80-85) and the bass are inactive except early morning and sunset. Remember, plastic will not help with peacocks, but they work well toward the end of the day when the largemouth start moving. High temps mean higher metabolism which means the fish will be chasing fast lures like Rat-L-Traps and topwaters. If you can find them, the ProTrap is better because the lure slides up the line when a fish hooks itself and therefore can't use the lure body for leverage to throw the hook. It's a good all around lure for peacocks, snook, and about a hundred other exotics that roam the canals. Remember look at those City Fisher articles. They will tell you alot about the fish that you will meet. |
