Default Summertime camping

I live in Albany but I grew up in Medford where most of my friends and family still live. Im trying to come up with some camping ideas near the roseburg area since it is an approx. halfway point. Im thinking maybe something on the Umpqua? Im clueless though to this area and I need some help on where to stay and what is available to fish. I know through this site that some areas have good bass fishing but I dont know where that would be. Could anyone share some ideas so I can start convincing people that they need to go.

Have you ever thought about camping on the uppperWilly, above Lookout Point Dam. Beautiful area and some great fishing, Land Locked Salmon along with Trout as long as your arm. Fly and Lure only but a great area, and about one third the drive time. Just a thought...

Default North Umpqua

The North Umpqua has great fishing opportunities near Roseburg, I assume there are great campgrounds, but I have only been backpacking a little in the area.

You can never go wrong with the Umpqua River, what a jewel in the Oregon crown. I believe I-5 runs right over the river at Roseburg.....and like WFF said the camping has got to be great.
