Post Fishing Regulations

Some times the regulations just don't make sense to us, like where the river ends and the lake begins. That one is my pet peeve by far....The people that write the reg.s aren't the ones that enforce them and the ones that enforce them have their own interpretation. Any one else had a problem with the reg.s being vague or hard to understand ?

I'm not bitter BUT:

That cop at Hills Creek is an idiot! He chastised us for fishing with bait in a spot he said was river and not lake. Then when I demanded that he point out a landmark or spot today where he considered the line to be- HE FLATLY REFUSED TO DO SO! WTF??????

YES I AM BITTER!

BTW-Chuck- I wrote an email to Jeff Ziller, asking him to please send a description of the definition as he wrote it- hopefully he is able clear this up.

Good for you, the ODFW and OSP need to be on the same page. I haven't received a citation for fishing in that gray area; but I know it is just a matter of time. Maybe we need a Judge to step in and clear the air once and for all.

Funny how rules and laws are interpreted differently within the context of the situation. Attitude, looks, and demeanor have a lot to do with the help or trouble you recieve from an officer. So smile pretty!!!

Post Funny thing...

I was just up at the lake I was talking about originally and since the regular Trout season opened last weekend you can now fish in the river so the rule doesn't matter at this particular lake now. None the less with all the rules we as anglers must learn and abide by the state might think about them and write them using our mind set.....We are paying for the right to be there.
