I've been to Faraday once, caught zero but I really had no clue what I was doing yet....I'm slightly better now! I have seen on the ODFW site that they just put 100 more steelhead in there last week, and plan on putting more in......? I wanted to go try for that!

the surplus steelhead that go into faraday seem to hang around the dam on the bottom end of th lake in the deeper holes.
stockers like the end by the dam better also.
You can "troll" spinners by casting out, and walking sowly along the dam - it works trust me.

i used to fish faraday alot just on the cement wall there about halfway to the dam and hurl powerbait as far out as possible and catch em every time. but i hav always seen people catch em in the deep hole with worms, but i hav never done good down there

may 26th - oct 31st..
Make sure you only keep fin clipped stockers out of there...
It's easy to double check and not worth the ticket.

There's no limit on size or number of the brook trout.

I agree rainbow trout aren't my favorite fish to eat, but they are alot of fun to catch. I still eat the fish I hook in the gills..

I've only caught 'em "upstream" from the promontory boat launch trolling along the cliff. Might try that since you favor them

I always think that there just has to be some pigs in that 90' deep spot by the dam!

Yeah i hate when i get the fish in the gills..When i dont hook in gills. I throw back just to catch another time or let someone else have fun.. But if im camping in the mountains i like to eat fish. Do you launch at promontory? then go upstream? Yeah me to about the hogs! Have you ever tried that little stream entry on the otherside of the road? its got a gate right there.. but it looks like a nice little spot and i think it feeds into North fork

Yeah most of the time I just use the promontory launch and head upstream.
Do you mean that little side lake with the tunnel under the road leading back to the main body of northfork? Or are you meaning one of the creeks that is upstream from the launch?

Both of them hold fish, but that little side lake thing can be hit or miss.
