I've never been to Timothy lake and have been wondering how the fishing is. Has anyone been up there recently, within the past week or two?
Is there any good shore fishing up there? We will have a canoe as well, I just like to a bit of both land and boat fishing.
From reading the forum it...
These are the real hawgs!
This summer has been great.... It was off to a slow start but on average all fish landed have been in the 3-5lb range with a 7 pounder and 10 pounder to boot! Still plenty more action to be had and from what I saw tonight those biggens are on the feed!:D
It's been awhile since I've posted anything, so here I am doing it now;).
This summer has been a good one with tons of big fish caught. When I get home from my outing today I will post some pics of the hawgs I've landed over the past month or so.....
:D
When it comes to anything other than trout this lake is a joke! I was there a few weeks ago and landed a few trophy sized trout, but I was disappointed to see that was the only fish in these waters. I had read about how great this lake use to be and now it's just a busy trout lake. This lake...
Just got in from another epic day on Cullaby.....
As for the method, worms....
Again the fish were on the smaller side. Total, I caught about another 15 fish today. Bass, bluegill, and perch.
I took the canoe out on Cullaby the other night and KILLED IT!!! Caught about 15 fish total. Nothing to big but the little guys were hitting hard. I'll be out again today. Another report soon to come.
Chicken liver, some sort of homemade flavored dough ball/stink bait. They are predators and yet another reason I wish you could use live fish as bait. Remember the bigger the fish your going for the bigger the bait needs to be.
That's a nice carp. I use to do a lot of carpen & caten back in PA. There's nothing like a monster carp or channel cat that wants to fight. Last summer was my first season out here and I didn't get any carp but I did catch a nice cat at the end of my season.
It's outside of Astoria of Rout 30 heading east. You'll need a boat of some sort unless you fish from the bridge. I caught a blue gill last summer that had to be close to a pound. It was by far the biggest blue gill I've ever caught. :)
