    What's your favorite powerbait???

Fishing was slow Sunday morning at Harriet lake, so to change things up one of my buddies added a corky about the same size as the power eggs and extended his leader to about 4 feet. He immediately hooked a rather brutish 13 inch rainbow as soon as his line was set. I followed suit by adding...

Need info on banking fishing at Hagg

Last night was all keepers. Only really had two hours to fish by the time I got to the lake. I spent 2/3 of that time fishing my hideaway spots. When I got into the fish I was getting dark. But, I understand what you are saying. And, I was not "plopping".

Anyone use yarn balls for trout in lakes?

This is brilliant! Do you use the "pellet" shaped ones or? The entire plug or do you trim it down at all?

    What's your favorite powerbait???

I feel ya. The two pole allowance is great for this. Drop some power eggs on one pole, and a spinner or jig on the other. And like you said, go double power eggs and sit a spell while you munch or drink a beer. Switch back to a spinner when you get bored. Good stuff! I also picked up some of the...

    New kayak/canoe/raft/pontoon launch at Hagg

It's a neat little deal. Not much steeper than your average driveway. Inflatables, canoes and kayaks should be easily launched from here. I agree though, they need something like this further up in the no wake zone.

Oh, and I nipped off the barbs on the hooks I used last night. Never lost a fish I had on the line and was able to not damage them removing it. It felt a lot less cruel once I had them up on the bank.

Berkley's Power Eggs...best thing since apple pie!!!

Gotta love the power eggs! Had some nibbles doing the retrieve method at this spot I've been chasing a whopper at. Time was short so had to move to get some fish for the freezer. Killed em on orange and chartreuse two egg combo over by ramp C at Hagg lake. Picked up some half clear yellow and...

    Sign that it's a hold-over fish?

Generally, by the way they fight. In my experience. The stockers flop a bit, and hit harder. The hold overs seem to be more cagey and are a little softer mouthed.

Berkley's Power Eggs...best thing since apple pie!!!

I run the same rig. Carolina set up with #8 hooks, two eggs.. they float just fine. They'll also spin and agitate the the fish if you do a medium to slow retrieve with them or a decent length of leader under a bobber on a windy day. There is more to the eggs than letting them sit on the bottom...

    What's your favorite powerbait???

Chartreuse power eggs, garlic scent, haven't done me wrong in the last two years. Been killing em this season on nothing but. Sheradin, Hagg, St. Louis.. they gobble it up.
