10lb mono should me fine. Use an inline egg sinker, bead, then swivel. Use a 6-12" leader with a size 6 or 8 hook with a bunch of sweetcorn or doughball made by compressing bread into a small ball. Cast close to features such as lillypad, overhanging trees and bushes.

Well that's encouraging. If all those other species are in Hagg lake, it's got to hold some carp as well! I'll have to try it out this summer. I have a two rod license and my wife also has a license, so with 3 rods out there I should hopefully find out fairly quickly.

Does Timothy lake still hold lots of crawdads? Carp love them and was going to try to make crawdad boilies.

Went to check out Sauvie Island on Friday, and I found a spot where lots of carp had obviously been killed as there were a huge amount of carp scales on the bank. Looked like it had just recently been fished. Was one of the spots I fish, so I hope whoever it was, wasn't killing the larger carp.

Some lovely carp in there too. Saw a guy catch a 13lb carp today. Took him about 10 mins to land it using a light rod and tackle.

I was over there yesterday when the truck pulled up and planted the trout. I would guess most of the trout are still in the part of the pond nearest 185th.

Yes, I was there at Bethany on Saturday. There were two other English guys over there as well. The best place I've found is on Sauvie Island too. The carp I've caught there have been small but plentiful - even managed to catch a mirror carp over there. Pretty sure there are some larger carp...
