    Crab bait

Thanks for commenting! The chicken is in the freezer now. Crabbing right now does not look to promising so I think I will head to Crane Prairie Sat for the opener.

    Crab bait

I usually do pretty good using chicken for crab bait. Today I discovered I had put some chicken into my shop refrigerator instead of the freezer. I have not idea how I did this, may to much Jack one evening. Anyway it is now giving off a curious aroma. Has anyone used spoiled meat with any...

    Old vintage patterns

I just got around to looking at my March/April issue of Northwest Fly Fishing and came across an article titled, "Exposure, Classic Steelhead Flies". Pictured are a number of great shots of flies from the 1800's to 1950's.

Camo, Thanks for posting to my question. Actually you offer some good information. Besides I am always interested in getting another book. I will get on Amazon and see what I can find. Appreciate the time you took Terry:)

Size 24 and 28 micro flies

I posted this picture on another thread but think it would be better here. I doubt I can tie these this small any longer, no less attach them to my leader. I had a period when I love doing these and have lots of them

    Old vintage patterns

I am very interested in tying some of the very old patterns. Those of the 1800's and early 1900's. These have all become dated but they caught lots of fish then and I suspect can do the same now. I really want to try some out. Have been looking online and in the books but can not seem to...

    Small flies & old eyes

There was a time that I really got into tying tiny flies, wet and dry. Tied hundreds of them. Just took out a box and was looking through them. I doubt I could tie them nowadays no less tire one onto my leader. The attached picture is of a few I tied, I was amazed at how big of fish could be...

    Purchased new boat

I really like the kicker! It had bow rails when I bought it. I have them and find them really helpful when dealing with the anchor in bumpy water. I really like my Scotty Downriggers. They have 150' of cable on them and retrieve at 1' per crank. Very helpful when trolling for Kokanee and...

    Purchased new boat

The first picture is the boat. The second is of the Columbia River anchoring system. The orange buoy has a slide that attaches to the anchor rode. It self retrieves the anchor. If the anchor hangs up, a wire tie breaks loose and it is pulled out head first.

    Tried Fall Creek today

My son and a couple of his friends went to FC day before yesterday. The fished the cove by the dam. Still fished from their boat with just worms and knocked them dead!

    Tried Fall Creek today

Sounds like my mistake was not using bait on my troll. Going to run up there again tomorrow afternoon when I finish my morning of shooting. Will use some worms and corn
