Can you use live bait when fishing for steelhead or cutthroat?

Earthworms are fine to use and work good as long as bait is open on the river you plan to fish.

2019 the year of inconvenience. 2020 another cost increase. I see sales of licenses dwindling even more.

Went bottom fishing out of Newport last weekend. Our boat dropped 6 pots and had 3 keepers. Fishing was good for bass and lings though!

Why don't bass fisherman keep bass?

Part of it is respecting the resource. Bass can be found in large and small bodies of water. A lot of guys fish small ponds and if the fish were kept the fishing in the future will suffer. You could pose this same question to fly fishermen who strictly catch and release trout. To a lot of people...

    Pressured ponds

54 is the air temperature the water will be much warmer. As long as the sun isn't directly shining on the water they should hit on top. Iv fished top water all day on the Umpqua when the weather is overcast or if there's lots of smoke from forest fires.

Lots of beer for sure! Me and a OFF member I wont identify went camping at the end of February, filled a garbage bag...

    Starting the year OFF right.

It weighed in at 7.5lbs. It was on a soft 5" bluegill swimbait, my buddy put me onto it so id rather not say the name. We're in pontoons so not sure on depth or temperature. I'm just casting to structure and up on the banks, and working it slow.

    Starting the year OFF right.

Fishing for me so far this year has been just about as dead as this forum lately. Thursday that changed for me dramatically. Not only did I catch a damn near 5lb smallie for my first fish landed of the year, about 45 minutes later I hooked and landed my personal best largemouth at 7lbs. The...

    Bass 2016 show-OFF

No Title Got my personal best this past October while fishing with fellow OFF member FinnieusPolebender. Didn't have a scale but we guessed it was in the 6lb range. Fought great on 8lb mono, it bit a Texas rigged worm up shallow in the bushes. Tight lines!
