2 of us fished Mill to Campbell yesterday. Very few boats, no bank fishers, and no bites for us. Sounds like the lower river was no better than upper river.
South Santiam would not be a good choice in late Jan. Has run of native winters, but it would be a little early for them. Also river has been running high and off color. Alsea is your best bet. Upper Alsea is fairly close to Albany area--maybe an hour away.
Upper Alsea 12/15, again 12/29 and Moonshine run on Siletz yesterday. Yet to have a fish on for 2 of us. Talked to 3-4 boats each trip Alsea and no fish for anyone else either. Between 2 boats yesterday that we talked to heard of 1 fish. Been very disappointing so far.
