Wrap it TIGHT! I've had all kinds of issues when it's been wound on like mono. The tighter the better.

We got on the board a few times this past weekend. This is a picture of my son with his first tagged fish this year. He convinced me to switch to his now favorite type of fishing, boon dogging(sp?). Turned out to be the right call!

Short sand beach, is fun, you can combine that with a few day hikes.

Very nice! We fished Thursday and Monday not a sniff for us.

And don't forget the great court games they have too. I never new my kid could play tennis until we stayed at E Crest:D so much to do and so little time!

I would not anchor anywhere near a hog line your first year out. I have seen some really scary stuff happen in a hog line, crossed and tangled anchor ropes, guys slamming into one and other, people getting hung up on the bottom and driving across four other anchor ropes to try and pull, all...

The tip should have little or nothing to do with the number of fish tagged. I've tagged fish with rotten guides and offered no tip at the end of the trip. I have tipped big for a guide that, as stated above, put his heart and sole into the trip and came up fish-less. This nice tip, turned into...

Some decent access at the Wheatland Ferry. Other than that it is tough. Most access is at the public boat ramps.
