Well bummer. Didn't get to do any fishing this weekend. Had some honey dos to do. I think I'm gonna hit up oxbow after work Monday or Tuesday and float some eggs I cured.

I live in canby and work in sandy. Been fishing up by mixer in the clackamas drifting corky and yarn but nada.

Hello. Was able to catch my first salmon a few weeks ago out in the mouth of the Columbia River in my brothers boat. In 3 days i landed 5. It was awesome. Now im hooked.Lol but since I was catching em and he didn't I'm 86'd. Haha. So now I gotta find a place to bank fish. Was thinking about...

I don't like fishing around other boats either. Lol my brother has a temper when people get to close to his boat. It's embarrassing

Oh. And have lots of patience. It will happen.

It's definitely a learning curve. Best recommendation I can give is bigger isn't better. never use too big of fishing line. Use the smallest leader you can get away with. And this time of year let em take the line and run a bit. Muscling em in doesn't work too well.

Drifting corkys or floating jig? What you recommend?

So how's the clackamas been doing? Salmon? Steelhead? Anyone catching fish?
