Thanks. I tried a boat launch about 12 miles from Brandon and rocky point. The lots were full of boat trailers. Heard some folks talking, the bite was not on today- despite the hundreds of boats. I saw no fish rolling- nothing like pacific city on the nestucca when they are jumping everywhere...
Is there any bank fishing on the Coquille this time of year that will get into the early fall run?
I am here this weekend in Roseburg and the family is heading to the coast so I really want to toss some spinners.
Any thoughts would be great.
I'm at Terry park right now, plunking with eggs, the one thing I didn't try last year. About one fish jumping every 20 seconds or more- none biting other people running lures none biting gunna try a plug.
Last year they all held up down by the bridge by the little park. You can park near the end of the road and go down a muddy embankment. There is a deep hole tons of fish last year. Is the run over the falls as big this year? If you see fish rolling let me know. I live in Lafayette so I will...
I know the spot. When I was there Friday the water was still high and it makes that piece of water hard to access but the next day it went down more so it makes sense that was a good spot.
What hole were you at and what were you using? Me and my bro have hit it 3 times this year with only 1 strike each to show for it.
I haven't been able to find good access upriver and it seems like the bite has been upriver lately.
:(
Where I looked I didn't see pools, I just saw fast water that was about 8 inches deep. I guess I will need to explore and find some better spots there.
Is it possible to use spinners or a float/eggs, float/jig at three rivers? I usually fish the mouth and have checked out 3 rivers but I don't drift fish and it seems to shallow to do anything else.
Nice looking fish.
Last time I was in Cloverdale I walked around at the bridge and right when you come into town- but the water was real high and the access was real bad at those spots. I couldn't find any other spots there. I still can't find Jackson's Drift, Is that near the Hebo bridge or the Cloverdale bridge?
