Forget about the improved clinch knot aka the Trilene knot. If you want a knot thats dam near fail safe use a Palomar knot at all connections. I learned the knot from my uncle thats is a tournament bass fisherman. I have never had a knot failure using this knot.
I floated from Elkton to Sawyer rapids boat launch on Friday. I caught and released a 10 lb wild hen steelhead. My buddies girlfriend caught and released a 15 lb wild buck steelhead. The river was 4.3 feet and Gin clear. Getting through Harts rapids was a bit tricky.
I would buy a Willie
I would buy a Willie
After talking to many guides I purchased a 17x54 Willie driftboat. It handles like a dream, I go on multi day float trips on the Umpqua river and even with two passengers and a boat full of camping gear it handles really well.
