I was wondering if anyone knows how the boating/bass fishing is around Independence? Can I safely take a bass boat up and down the river for a few miles? Can I catch smallmouth on current breaks, largemouth in the slews? Any info would be great

went ot cc today. Started by catching bass in shallows on top water and spinner baits. When sun came out went to outside edges of weedlines and caught more....nothing much over three pounds, but lots of lms on plastic. ...Sorry i don't do pics for lms under 5.

I was in the back of a white champion bass boat. I caught one 6.5. posted on I fish. Caught several other pound an a half fish. All were deep....the only ahallow fish were dinks
