it was cold.... i was at the garbage hole this am making my way up to you guys.. when my bag slipped spilling tackle everywhere by the time i got going again there wasn't a soul so I packed it for dodge ..that place was to crowded.... goose egg for me as well
alright, I wanted to try out floating the Clack this weekend but if that falls through I'll see if I can find you guys.... could you give me some kind of directions
just put in the hours ...it will come
those are both great rivers...I know from experience the Umpqua can be difficult . There is a great place in Elkton look for sawyers rapids( thats where i caught that shad on my avatar)... there is a good bar to fish from there for bank fishing or you are...
if you would have went home and got the "proper gear" you probably would have missed the fish...my first steelie was caught with trout gear ....haven't touched it since.
I would like to commend your thought of not stressing the fish as well as landing a nice one...bravo
Macks in Battleground ??
Macks in Battleground ??
I seriously doubt there are macks in Battleground Lake, I'm pretty sure its only planted with rainbows... its actually more like a big cold water pond than a lake. boats are restricted to electric motors and it costs $7.50 to launch a boat...
yeah...I think that would be the way to go after it, that way it "falls" away from you
if we could just dislodge it from one side or another ..I don't really think we need to drag it clean out.. it does provide some habitat
I am willing on Wed or Thurs as well...I work until 9 am and I'm free...
well, I don't have a saw that would be proper for that...but I would be more than willing to provide transportation and a strong back to help get that sucker outta there to make the river safe for everyone
