Just dropping a line down with corn on it to about 50 ft. Near the dam. At one point my brother let down a gold treble with no bait, just put some pro cure Kokanee on it. Bam! Fish on.
Took the pontoon out to foster last Saturday. Although I only boosted one good sized trout, I hooked many. I think it was a fishy conspiracy. They came up to the boat just close enough to let me see them and then spit the hook at me. Grrrr.

Totally agree. I haven't decided to put a motor on it yet, but when I do, I will follow the rules. But dang! I hate the idea of paying Oregon to put a motor on an inner tube!
I just wish they were bigger. I live in Albany, so I don't want to drive to far, but I wish I could find somewhere were they are plentiful and run about 12 inches or bigger. I was told Klamath lake is a good spot for good sized perch, but that is a long way away.

Went to Foster reservoir today, started off trout fishing. Hooked many, but only got one in the ice chest. The wind picked up and made rowing my pontoon around the lake a bit tough, so I went up the Satiam finger and tried to catch some perch.
Ended loading my little cooler with 32 perch...

That's what I learned, but in reading further, it was found that they followed the fish up the river, and then went back to the ocean, rarely spending more than a few weeks in the river system.
