I decided to spend the weekend camping at the lake. I did manage to get 3 nice trout Friday night and 4 nice fish on Saturday. The fish ranged from 14-17". It was nice to get away from the house for a few days.

It does look like a good day tomorrow. I worked the angle of the kids doing a picnic lunch on the water with their mom. Now I can go early to fish and they will meet me up there when it's warm outside. This way every one wins.

I had a good trip to the lake last Sunday. We started picking up nice fish trolling shallow until the wind started blowing pretty hard. I hope to pick up where I left off this Sunday if the fish cooperate.

I like downriggers better than divers. I use weights most of the time when trolling but I will break out the downriggers for kokanee fishing.

I am very thankful to live in this state and have access to all this fishing! Bulls are one of my favorite fish and being able to chase them in the winter months on lake billy is great.

I was using a 3 oz trolling wieght, purple/silver flasher and cut herring on both fish. I was trolling about 1.0 mph.
