Agreed, I am glad they are taking things seriously. I hope I can get out there on Saturday, but school has the priority right now.

It just figures that they stocked between the normal 9:30-11:00 time frame. With the work on the dam they have been stinking between 1-2 the past few weeks. I got there around 2:30 also, but I was able to catch 2 in the 2 hour window I had.

They did end up stocking yesterday afternoon. I was at the canal from 7 to 10 this morning. I caught 3 nice size trout bottom fishing with pink power bait gulp salmon eggs. After about 8:30 it died for me and most others there. ODFW stocking schedule

They are right, but as I found out from another thread here their will be no stocking at AB, and most places this short week.

Dang! Might be a good time for me to take a stab at the McKenzie. I know they aren't stocking it this week either, but a change in scenery would be nice.

I think they nailed him pretty good then. I thought I saw both leave separately, but when I left about an hour later there were two troopers with separate vehicles at the entrance of the canal talking to each other. The guy was standing on the side of the road/path next to one of the vehicles...

Good luck! It gets tough after the weekend. I don't have much luck with worms, but chartreuse gulp and gulp pink eggs have been successful for me. I normally fish with a bottom rig of leader, swivel, sliding weight.

Was he the one in the white shirt with dark blue jacket and shorts? I know the cop was talking to someone but I was to far to see who he was exactly talking to, there was a cluster of people fishing that part of the canal.

I have heard you can park by the BMX track. That will be the closest you can get to pond.

I fish on the south side. There is a nice open space there, and not much to get caught up on too.

I fish under the Ferry St Bridge quite a bit. I have pulled a few small trout there, and get plenty of bites. It is right by Alton Baker, so if you get bored you can go to the canal or pond. Lol
