I am looking to get a baitcasting set up. Little experience using one but looking for a beginner set up. One that would work for bass and trout. Any recommendations?

Only thing that limits my time on the water is kids and a disabled girlfriend. I am thinking about building my own rods and learning how to repair them.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take me kokanee fishing. I have never been and dont have a boat. I would bring my own gear and chip in for fuel to.

Jst a heads up about the rock slides. They are packed with people on hot days and people walking around nude so I dont recommend taking kids. On a side note if you do go down the rock slide wear jean shorts you will wear a hole in them after a few trips.

Any thing below Hendricks bridge is lure/fly only. Above Hendricks bridge bait is allowed.

So has anyone got a 100% that there is walleye in look out? I have heard rumors that hills creek in Oakridge has walleye as well but never got confirmation.

Probably a stupid question but how do you fish rooster tails on a river? I have only had success on ponds and lakes.
